First Touchdown! Texas-Longhorns...

Dolores and I went to our first Longhorns game yesterday. It was the FIRST LIVE COLLEGE OR PRO GAME for BOTH of us...EVER in our LIVES!!! It was 92 degrees, the sun was intense...it was sweltering hot/humid (dew points in the lower 70's...like a sauna). This was our first live-touchdown!..a 91 yard kickoff return! Whooohooo!! Hook 'em Horns!... (P.S. Go Badgers!!)

Bee-Fest in our New Kitchen...

We had just gotten our kitchen unpacked and everything set in its place when a swarm of bees settled on the side of our house. Over 50 bees (we counted) got into our kitchen through a crack in the window-frame. We hated to kill them but we had absolutely no choice. We were told later that most likely they had smelled something sweet.

So here is the deal...my favorite time of the day is 11:11. For some reason, when I look at the clock it is the time that is on the clock the most often. I know, weird right... but it is the HONEST TO GOD TRUTH. So I think that 11:11 is my most lucky time and any number with lots of ones (especially 1111) is a lucky number for me. Well, it just so happens that when we came back from New York I had left my truck at the airport and as I was driving home I took a really bad wrong turn (we just moved to Austin... so I get lost). We went a number of miles out of our way and struggled to get turned around in the right direction on the right highway. The funny thing is that, because I took this wrong turn my odometer turned 111,111 just as I pulled into the driveway of our new rental house. Totally ironic. We considered it lucky (I have Dolores hooked now too) and we took these photos. The really odd thing about it is, as I ran inside to get my camera Dolores told me to look at the clock. It was 1:11.
